So I have been helping my dad at work here in Yuma and right now the office is quiet, so I thought it would be a nice time to catch up on everything that has been going on. We have been so busy with so many fun things.
The first weekend in March we drove up to Phoenix for a baby blessing. David's sister Marsha and husband Jason had a little boy at the beginning of February. We were able to see him for the first time. He is a cutie and Alexis was so sweet to him. She was singing him songs and
tickling his toes. She was so excited to meet her cousin. Timothy was just excited to play with cousin Gavin's toys. The blessing was nice and while at the church I saw an old roommate's husband and an old friends brother (Alex
Avans). Lots of old memories.
After the blessing Gavin shared his love with his mom in the form of green goo... Nice! Family pictures never really
happened though. Oh well. Above is a picture of Timothy with his great grandpa
Taysom. A great generational picture for sure.

Also the weekend we were in Phoenix, we had a
pre-birthday party for Timothy. It was good practice in opening paper and eating cake. Timothy loves to play in the sandbox, so I thought it would be fun to make him a sandbox cake. He didn't want much to do with it though. Most of it ended up on Grandpa's floor. He likes to squeeze things in his fingers... so it was also lots of frosting between the fingers. He is such a fun little guy.

It seems like all we do is have parties as of late. Below are pictures from my Mom and sister's birthday party. My mom and sister both have a birthday at the end of February so we had a big party. Alexis insisted on... or course... a pinata. We made one out of an oatmeal bin. They tried to make it look like a "three toed sloth".
Katelynn (my sister) "loves" three toed sloths. We beat up on that pinata good and still no candy came out. It was
indestructible. When we finally cut it open and pulled the candy out, it was mostly dust. All the hard candy was a powder. Very sturdy pinata indeed.

Here is a classic picture of Timothy getting into more trouble. He loves to crawl into things and through things. This is him after he has pulled all the magazines out of the table and crawling though his newly created cave. He is becoming quite the climber. He was able to climb on top of an ottoman. We have been placing the ottoman in places to create a "cage" of sorts for him to keep him in certain areas or rooms... and now he can get out. He is also trying to get out of his pack n' play crib. I can only imagine what is going to happen when we get him back in his real crib and he can get some leverage. We may have to find other sleeping arrangements sooner than we thought. Alexis was not like this that I can remember... I guess it is a boy thing...

And now on to my little "
OCD" Alexis. She is like me when I was little, so my mom says. She likes to organize and sort things. She loves to make things match. With her clothes I say to find something that matches and she comes back with olive green shorts and a lime green shirt. I guess they are both green... but I don't think they match per say...
Below is a picture of her madness. She will line up all her people and animals. This particular time she is making two lines... one of the boy dolls and one of the girl dolls. She said they were going to dance. I guess I found it humorous that Noah was dancing with Cinderella, a farmer dancing with Ariel, and a construction worker dancing with Belle. It is also a bit funny that all the guys are short and the girls are all SUPER tall.
Alexis has such an imagination. I am glad she is discovering the world around her and exploring everything. She is such a smart little kid. She does try my patience, but I guess I need to realize it is her figuring out her independence. I treasure these days of self education and exploration.

I didn't know you saw my brother at church... we just found out that they are having a boy. I'm excited for them. Did you see his wife? She's so cute! So David has family in that ward? There are a lot of people in that ward that know someone in our family. Apparently, there are a few people that know my Grandma... long time Chandler folks. I loved reading about what you guys have going on. It's so fun, and your kids are so cute! I'm not just saying that either. They really are cute!
