One day at a time.

I guess you could say I've been MIA in the blogging world. I took a break for awhile. I used to blog stalk but it can be so depressing hearing about other people's perfect worlds. Needless to say, I only went to decorating blogs to get home decor inspiration. Lots has happened recently though, so I thought I'd better do my duty to record.
David now has a second job. He is now doing additional shifts at another hospital nearby. Now his normally scheduled days off, are being consumed with another job. I am having a love/hate relationship with this new job. I love that we are able to get some debt paid down, but really miss having him home. I have a "honey-do" list that just keeps growing, but I don't want all his days off to be spent doing chores. I guess you could say we are in the process of finding a balance.
David is such a great husband though. In trying to find this balance he has sent me flowers and planned a surprise date night last night. I was busy digging in the dirt when my SIL and boyfriend walked into the back yard, announcing that I better clean up for my date. Such a great surprise. We didn't do anything fancy, but spending some time together was just what we needed. Oh, and I also forgot to mention that David built me two more garden boxes. What a guy. I truly am blessed to have such a wonderful husband.
The kids have been okay. Alexis only has a few weeks left of school. I can't believe that she is almost done with kindergarten. She is reading pretty good and impresses me with her growing vocabulary. Unfortunately she still loves those small words too... like "NO".
Timothy has been growing too. I used to worry about him not talking much, but he has since taken care of that. Now I wish for the occasional quiet. He is constantly getting into something. He loves to play outside, so with some of our tax return we finished the back yard. It has been a blessing. I love being able to open the door and say "go play". We have grass and now a swing set. It sure beats the mud and rusty nails. I think Timothy misses the mud though.
Our life also seems to have more doctor appointments than normal too. About a year ago, Timothy had "passed out". We thought it was a fluke thing and weren't too worried about it. Then last week it happened again, but seemed like a seizure. Looking back, the first time it happened was probably a seizure as well. We've been to his doctor and on Wednesday had an EEG. We still don't have answers but hope to soon. Timothy doesn't act any different, so I guess that is some comfort.
We have been staying busy with visitors, school, an other fun activities like laundry. My sister and her husband came last week to visit from Kansas. We took them to see the goats at a local farm and played the traditional "Harris Bingo". We had a great time visiting. It makes me wish family lived closer. In an ideal world we'd have some kind of warp travel so we could just push a button and visit family that lived far away. If someone could hurry up and invent that, I'd appreciate it.
Well, enough of my rambling. I don't have anything exciting or life shattering to share, but this is our life... and we keep going... one - day- at - a -time...

I'm sorry, if I lived out there we could hang out! I plan a lot of "me" time when Justin is working a lot wether it is taking a bath, going to the gym my goal is to keep my sanity. And that is scarry about Timothy. Hope everything is okay!

I'm glad you updated-I forgot that Alexis is already in school. I might have to give you a call. Sending Casey is really worrying me. Anyway-we miss your family. :)I'm glad you got a surprise date-how fun. I'm going to miss that in a few months.
